Closing the Loop: Food Waste Prevention Pathways for Chicago is a partnership with RECIPES and the City of Chicago. RECIPES members ran a workshop at Illinois Tech with stakeholders in food waste prevention in Chicago to rethink how the city addresses food waste. The collaborative workshop engaged stakeholders in a series of activities to envision equitable and sustainable pathways to prevent food waste. Read more here!

In partnership with the nonprofit FRESHFARM, we conducted research to highlight challenges and opportunities to strengthen partnerships between food producers and food recovery organizations in the DMV region. While farmers are increasingly engaging in recovery efforts, intermediary organizations can help bridge logistical gaps. Read more here!
